It is interesting to find out that there are many different ways of communication via the internet besides email.
I personallly use the internet in private live to chat and IM with my friends form overseas. It is a very handy tool to say in concat with them exchange news. It is for many of us cheaper too, than being on the phone, because most people have internet flatrates. Chats and IM has been growing and more active in my privat live over the last years and I would not like to miss it now. It is also very nice to have the feature of video/audio chating. I get to talk to my five year old nefew in Germany over my msn and he can see me as well as I see him. It is fantasic, because you dont feel you are across the Atlantic Ocean, you feel more like the person is right there. Also it is nice to see impressions on his face when he is telling stories and he is able to show me things he made in Kindergarden, whiles I chat with him. I personally thing the IM's and Chatrooms make the world again, become smaller and smaller.
